Joost:
My grandma lived in Rotterdam most when she was a teenager. She also lived on a ship when they were going to germany. Her dad was a shipsman and her mom did the house hold. Most often ebcame men harbour worker or sailor and women became hairdressers cleaning people or they did the household. The men didn't help the women in the house hold. She mostly played with her older brother when she was young. When she became a teenager she went to live with her grandma on the shore. Here she went to a hairdresser' school. When she got spare time she just went to a park next to her house with some friends.
My dad had an different life however. He lived in Meerkerk. And his dad was an elevator inspector and his mom was a kindergarden teacher. My dad went to an school for ICT. When he got spare time he mostly helped his mom in the household or went outside to play in the garden. He played most often with his younger brother but he could also play with his bigger sister.
Myself I live in the countryside. My main thing that I do in spare time is playing basketball. I also game. If I come out of school I go outside and run or do something else before I'm going to do my homework.
Harm:
My grandfather lived in Alblasserdam when he was around 10 years old. They lived with 8 people (included his parents) in one house. Only one of the 6 children was a girl. his father was a greengrocer and his mother did the house hold and helped in the shop. Only his sister had to help his mother when needed. He mostly played outside with his friends from the church. he also liked to read books. After school he almost Always had to help his father in the shop while his friends were playing outside. in the weekend he had a lot of spare time, he only had to go to the church on Sunday. He almost didnt get pocket money. he mostly of the times swom and skated. his hobbies were reading and swimming. He lived in the countryside and often went into the polder and skated on the ice in winter. he often played with his friends from the church. Sometimes he couldnt play with his friend because he had to help in the shop of his father. His mother had a lot of spare time except doing the Household. his father worked a lot also on Saturday. He thinks that he spend his free time in a good way and that nowadays teenagers dont spend their time in a good way because they sometimes play computergames the whole day.
My mother :lived in Papendrecht and lived with 4 people in the same house. her family excisted of 3 children and 2 parents. Her father was a technicien and his mother did the Household. The historical event when she was a teenager was the dead of Elvis Presly. She had a lot of spare time because she didnt have to help her mother in the house and didnt play a sport, she only had to go to the church on Sunday.her favorite hobbies were knitting and riding horse, but she didnt do that as a sport. she spent most of her free time at home, because she liked to do somethin with her hands like drawing, knitting, and solving puzzles. She lived in the countryside and when she went outside, she often went swimming in a lake. and skating on the ice in winter. She didnt get pocket money and didnt have much toys. She didnt play with people fromonly one background, she also played with muslims. the only club she had was the Sunday school. Her mother had free time on Saturday and Sunday, her father only had free time on Sunday. She thinks that teenagers nowadays spend their free time worse because they only play computergames.

Abe:
Interview with parent.
The parent I interviewed lived with 6 people in one family in one house. Her father was not able to work and her mother did the household. They lived in Hardinxveld-Giesendam, Wieling 83. She still remembers the cold war because it was quite serious. When I asked how much spare time she had, she said that after school she had pretty much spare time, because she didn’t have to help her parents. In the weekend, she also had spare time. She didn’t really have a favourite hobby but, she liked to watch television, or doing things outside when she had spare time. She thinks she spent her time good for a teenager, but not useful. Her parents lived in a village. She said it had influence on the way she spend her time, because they didn’t have a big garden, so they were more inside. When I asked about pocket money, she said she got money to buy clothes. She could spend her money herself. When she was young, she mostly spend her free time with children from a religious background, but there were no special clubs for her age. She thought that her parents didn’t have much influence on the way she spend her spare time. Her father had a lot of spare time, he liked to work at the farm of aunt Ger. Her mother sometimes visited friends. She thinks that teenagers nowadays spent their time the same as when she was young, not useful, but good for a teenager.
Interview with grandparent
The grandparent I interviewed was with 8 people in one family in one house. Her mother did the household and her father was a teacher. They lived in Leerdam. She couldn’t remember a historical event from the time that she was a teenager. She said that she had free time after school and in the weekends. She sometimes read books or went outside in her spare time, but she didn’t have a particular favourite hobby. She usually stayed at home. Because her parents lived in a city and didn’t have a big house and garden, she didn’t have to help her parents a lot. She thinks that she spent her time good. She didn’t get money to buy clothes, she got the clothes of her older sisters. She said that when she was young, she spend time with a social group, but her parents and the children went to the church. There was a club of the church, but it was more for younger children. Her parents had influence on how she spent her time. ‘’They were quite strict.’’ She said. Her father had free time after work. He liked to work in the garden, although it was very small. Her mother liked to read books. When I asked whether she thinks teenagers nowadays spent their time better, she said that she thinks they spent their time different, but not better or worse. She thinks that the biggest difference is that there’s internet nowadays.

Luuk:
Parent:
My father was born in Holten but he moved all places because his father worked everywhere in the country. He lived with 5 people in the house. He didnt have to do a lot in the household because his father was away all the time and they had a normal house so his mother cleaned it herself. He lived mostly in towns/city's. He think it influenced how he spent his spare time because in city's you cant go outside and play football on the street.
Grandparent:
The grandparent i interviewed is born in Goes, and grown up on a farm. She has one brother who is 4 years younger. she spent most of her time at the farm walking with the servants who worked with the horses in the field. when she was young she was very impressed by the second world war. sometines there fight fight between allied aircrafts and Nazi aircrafts so she had to hide in the basement. a big part of her house was claimed by the Nazi to station soldier in, they were quite nice and they got candy from these soldiers. My grandmother and her best friend made a sort of house in a bunker which was on their courtyard. in there they invited thier school teacher to drink tea. in secondary school she joined a choir and she also joined a gymnastics club. after secondary school she did an education for teacher. she became a cooking teacher.
